Frequently Asked Questions
Get familiar with typical questions and answers (we meet these in almost every mail), and win the prize - a few hours of time saved (which otherwise would be spent on waiting a response by mail).
How much do you charge?
We can't give a general answer to this question. Our works are rather different in size and complexity, we do not create "typical" solutions, so we don't have a "typical" price.
In order to find estimated cost value of your order, please send us an approximate description (for icons: a number of them, the main size for an icon, additional sizes, other necessary information you feel is important).
But just to give you some reference point: the minimal price for an icon is 35€ (~$50).
The minimal project cost we take is 350€(~$500). That does not necessary mean 10 icons.
How long does it take?
It'll take 3-7 days to develop metaphors and sketches. Then add one day for each icon, and you have an approximate time of your order execution.
However, please keep in mind that we need a period of 1-2 weeks after agreement made to put your order into workflow and provide it with necessary resources.
What does the process look like?
It's like that:
- We offer you some metaphors for the icons (in case you don't have a clear view of them yet).
- Sketches. At this stage, you and we determine and approve general appearance of icons (objects they are consist of, their relative positions, viewpoint, perspectives, etc)
- Rendering.
Please note that we take additional charge for bringing in changes into already approved sketches or icons.
What form do I get the results in?
Graphic files in JPEG, PNG, ICO, ICNS, or some other format you tell us about in advance.
Do you have icon examples on our subject? Please send us some..
Make a few icon samples for us, and we'll see about the order.
Unfortunately we do not make icon samples. Our works are presented in our portfolio, this is all we can offer for making decision.
How to contact you?
Send a letter to info@iconka.com. Please do not ignore the subject of the letter, write "icons" or something like that. The fact is that every day we get several tons of spam mail that we filter with antispam software. Sometimes important letters are listed as spam by mistake, and that is why we periodically review trash folders manually to be sure no real mail is lost. "Icon" word in the mail subject would be beneficial to differ useful letters from the proposals to increase penis and to buy copies of the elite Swiss watch.
Why icons in several sizes are more expensive then one-sized?
