I created a collection of illustrated gifts for Friended, giving familiar social gestures a playful character. Drinks, flowers, chocolates and a ring became expressive objects with faces and personalities of their own.

I used rounded forms, soft shading and a consistent level of detail to connect the different subjects. The work combines character design with the discipline of building a coordinated asset collection for a social product.
