Project
A library of more than 600 location icons for Snapchat’s Snap Map.
My role
I led the visual design of the library, from exploring concepts and defining a consistent treatment to producing the vector assets.
Design problem
Hundreds of location categories needed distinct, recognizable symbols within a small mobile interface. The challenge was to preserve the character of individual places while keeping the whole library visually coherent.
My approach
I balanced descriptive detail with simplified forms across categories such as cafés, stadiums, skateparks, salons, grocery stores and pet shelters. Small-size readability and different color modes shaped the execution of each asset, alongside Snapchat’s playful visual tone.

Delivered
A large, coordinated icon library covering a broad range of locations. The work demonstrates how I carry a visual system through hundreds of individual decisions, keeping clarity and character consistent at scale.
