I designed and built Felinox, an analog Wear OS watch face based on my collection of zodiac cats.

Design problem

The illustrated theme needed to work as a usable watch face. I had to balance the cats and their interactions with readable time, date and battery information.

My approach

• Reusing an illustration collection: I started with my twelve zodiac cat icons and adapted them to an analog dial.

• Making the theme functional: A mouse acts as the seconds hand and a sun indicates the current zodiac sign. Tapping a cat reveals its sign, while two customizable complications provide additional information.

• Refining the layout: I adjusted the arrangement and readability of the complications, testing how the illustrated elements and practical information worked together.

Delivered

An analog watch face with twelve zodiac characters, a mouse seconds hand, a current-sign indicator and two customizable complications. The project extends an existing illustration collection into an interactive product.
